WEEK TWO-ISLAND WHISPERS

Reported near the South Wing Hall.

They say the girl in the cliffside painting blinked.

Not a trick of light. Not a shadow shift. Blinking.

Last week the sky behind her was gold with sunset. Yesterday it was storm-gray. No record of restoration. No scheduled changes.

Two students noticed.

One won’t talk about it.

The other transferred dorm rooms this morning.

It’s probably nothing.

Paint cracks.

Light ships.

Memories distort.

But the girl in the painting is now looking toward the sea.

She wasn’t before.

If a painting begins preparing for something…would you want to know what it sees?

To be continued…
